Training Mandate & Wings Overview
21. Background
SBACS-AFPI is the third Institute in the State of Punjab to train youth for a career as officers in the Defence Forces of India. The Institute would train both aspiring graduate male and female candidates for entry into the:
Indian Military Academy (IMA), Officer Training Academy (OTA), Air Force Training Academy (AFA), and Naval Academy (NA) through UPSC or service conducted exams.
Direct SSB for Technical Graduate Course (TGC) and NCC Special Entry Schemes as per notification of Govt. of India.
Doctors, Veterinarian Doctors, and Law Graduates interested to join the Defence Forces and needing SSB training.
22. Organization of Institute
Keeping the mandate for training in view, the Institute is divided into the following two specialized wings:
Entrance Examination Training Wing
Prepares candidates for written competitive examinations including CDS, AFCAT, and INET with intensive classroom teaching and mock tests.
Services Selection Board Training Wing
Provides capsule coaching for SSB interviews including psychological testing, GTO obstacle ground training, personal interview, and conference preparation.
Entrance Examination & SSB Training Schedule
Annual course cycles, exam dates, intake capacity, and candidate breakdown.
